For ten years, I worked in the corporate world, all the time
generating millions of dollars of profit for the larger institutions I so
dedicatedly served. The day I expected to receive recognition for my hard work
and contributions, I discovered the promotion celebration was for my colleague
(as usual who worked and served longer in the company), not me. It was that
very same day that I realised I needed to take
control. I would no longer be a victim; it was time to be an architect of my future
success.
Having worked in the financial services arena, I knew about AXA – how
financially strong they were and their international reputation for quality
and innovation. I knew it was the kind of company I would be proud to be
associated with. I passed rigorous selection process and told my superior that
I was leaving to join AXA. Ever since then, my challenge has been to focus my
energy and effort in the business.
While meeting this challenge, I have also gained
total independence. I now have more time for my wife and two girls, have
traveled to many great places in the world, & can now afford the best schools
for my children. I am able to bring my family to fine restaurants without
undue concern about ‘bursting’ my pocket and drive a car I never could have
afforded had I remained filling the pockets of the various employers. Today,
it’s the pockets, and the pockets of my talented team of financial advisers,
which are being justly rewarded for the work we do with our clients and
friends.
